What I find really weird about that is the water bowl is smaller than the food bowl. My Labrador never leaves any food in the bowl, but requires a big water bowl. When he drinks his whole nose is submerged...

"Embarking on physical hull fabrication before completing a preliminary design review (PDR) and freezing the 3D spatial design model risks severe engineering setbacks."

I am sure Bent Flyvbjerg would consider this to be a bad way to start a project and keep it on time and budget.

"Recent developments in the UK demonstrate that this political optimism is fundamentally disconnected from the physical, contractual, financial and industrial realities on the ground at BAE Systems’..."

So it is only the physical, contractual, financial, and industrial realities holding things up.

“We’re the only major country in the world losing visitation,” the head of the US Travel Association said. “It’s mind-boggling.”

It may be mind-boggling but totally understandable.

I appreciate your new outlook, however, I used to look forward to your Sydney street scenes as I have not lived there for 36 years.

All one has to look to for shared values is gun control. The US is content to put up with school shootings to keep their access to guns.

It looks like bicycles are still a big thing in China.

Has the take up of EVs in China improved the air quality in Beijing? Back when the Olympics were run everyone was worried about the pollution.

I think Amy must be the straightest shooting journalist on the planet.

In looking at football clubs in England I was amazed how many appeared to be in walking distance from each other.

"But our leaders dare not even think about, much less discuss the consequences of our long-running, but profoundly misguided search for security."

The last one who thought about it was Gough, and Look what happened to him.

I guess this is just a stranded asset and we will see more of these as more renewables come on-line...

I was under impression that miners had to lodge a fee for clean up of sites. Obviously that is working well.

Cannot wait till he knocks out that last one and it collapses on him.

Doing a conversion would be hard work. (I would have loved to convert my S2000.) One cannot really be telling people to move to EVs via a conversion. They have to be commercially available.
September 22, 2026 at 11:05 PM
Ten years sounds more reasonable. If one forgets about the GM EV1 and considers EVs really only started with Tesla providing a commercial EV ten years sounds about right. In 2009 I was in a Tesla workshop watching them work on the Lotus variant. In 2013 I used to see a Model S on the road each day.

I doubt you have been saying that for 20 years.

Remember Lindy Chamberlain. Everyone was saying nobody would react like that if a dingo took her daughter.
