Read about Mussolini? In decades of teaching politics, that hadn't occurred to me. When I would teach comparative political systems, the kids would say: "What about Italy" and I'd say: "What about it?"
The White Rose was an anti-Nazi organization. We are talking about fascism. Read about the early years of Mussolini and then tell us we aren’t dealing with a fascist ruling party. There was plenty of public opposition to Mussolini even after he was handed the government.
