The case I argued yesterday is a continuation of the 2013 case in which I asked the SC to make DNA evidence admissible. A young child had been raped. How could the law expect her to testify in court with the rapists glaring at her? DNA was declared admissible. Protect the child.

Most child abuse occurs within the circle of family & acquaintances. Young children who have been sensitised can protect themselves by raising an alarm. In law & in politics, one seeks the dignity of the human being against exploitation & injustice. Tomorrow, we walk in peace

I submitted that Ar 14 that guarantees inviolability of the human being read with Ar 35 that obliges the state to protect the rights of the child, make it incumbent on the state to educate children so that they alert their parents or other guardians at the earliest stage.
