Oma to the best grandkids ever! "May you live to see your children's children". Eastern Orthodox, Bulwark Type Never Trumper.
This feels just like the descent of the GOP. I simply don’t recognize that party anymore. Likewise I surely don’t recognize Jesus in this kind of thinking. I am crushed beyond measure that the country I loved would broadcast a public execution. What is wrong with these people?

I am so sick of this guy re-naming things and thinking that accomplishes anything constructive. Renaming a gulf, renaming a lake, renaming a technology is not productive work. It's stupid.

This is a good start to the regulation we need around AI. We don't have to wait for bad things to happen and then hurry up to try to fix things. We can actually use our brain power to identify risks and mitigate them before damage is done. Novel concept.

Don't want to give any hints but I have thoughts.....

Thank you for calling attention to this article. I know we are not there yet but we do need to understand the situation once we get there.

"More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim...." So beautiful!

Yep. Apart from "is" meaning "is" then there John 6:53-54 to contend with. "Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life..."

I know! But Luther had a famous debate with Zwingli during the Marberg Colloquy where he wrote on the table hoc est corpus meum ("This is my body"). He couldn't cross that line. At times I feel bad for Luther. He made a mess of things but I think he did so with the best of intentions.

You are more that free to disagree, argue against & make jokes about Holy Communion and the faith in general BUT know that it is not only the Catholics who believe that Christ is present in the Eucharist. The Orthodox believe this as well and even Luther. Some protestants parted with Luther on this.

Stop it! My eyes hurt from rolling out of my head. 🙄

Unless you want to be disappointed do not eat in the tourist areas. I found this book very helpful The Pilgrim's Guide to Rome's. Bring change, light some candles.

Wonderful! I swear I could go to Rome for a week every year for the rest of my life and never exhaust it! Rome’s subway is not as useful as other cities so be prepared to walk. Definitely try to get a ticket (in advance) to the Scavi as previously mentioned. 1/

Amazing! Have only 2 bc I typically use the same word every day. I never thought about getting a new one once it hits. I have to think about it. I have grown quite attached to the one I have. Some of the words lately have been either odd (ritzy?) or words I never heard of in my entire life.

They should have consulted with Raffensperger on that strategy. His first commercials out the gate were anti-trans. And he didn’t cultivate any interest with the GOP primary voters in GA for governor. Stale approach. Economy > “trans for everyone” concerns.

"Shame is a leash on the human soul."
"Your soul is forever. Guard it."
May be AI, but wisdom, nonetheless.

I am beginning to think that true privilege comes from having two parents who love you, sacrifice for you, support you and teach you right from wrong. Unfortunately some children who didn't have this have grown up and attempt to be public leaders, leaving us to suffer with their brokenness.

I just love this Pope. Glad the Catholic Church has him. We do need more people who identify as Christians to follow the teachings of Christ. This war thing? Definitely not one of them.

Honor, integrity, courage….man that stuff is so darn attractive. We definitely need more of it.

Ha! When incompetence and dishonor marry. I wonder how many years it would take the GOP to recover from that loss.

Right there with you but I can’t escape the sense that I bear some responsibility for what has happened. I have determined though that I am not really a Democrat either. Regardless, that’s how I will vote until there is a reasonable alternative & we fix this mess.

My keto bread costs me $11 so I knew it couldn't be cheap even if Publix did have a BOGO this week for bacon (at our Publix even if you only buy one, you still get the deal and pay half price). Anyone with a brain and a memory knows the grocery prices at this point are unforgivable. Vote accordingly
