Things I've learned when working off the large amount of weight I gained post both of my father's deaths is that you can't take a break from lifting or general exercise because your body will "forget" easily but will relearn much quicker.

I finally got everything set up. I took a year off against my will a bit haha My apartment flooded, I got laid off, my best friend died, then I had to move across the country. Been through it.

My advice for emerging artists and pros alike: it’s time for in person events.
The industry and community is scattered and algorithms are currently siloing us off.
Go to cons, festivals, screenings + launches, and other art events.
While social media is still shifting, invest in face to face.

I just got invited to move back to Georgia by 2 old buddies of mine. I'd be tempted but once you get to a certain level of poverty because the job market is so bad, you tend to want to avoid the place that did it to you for 8 years again.
I moved out and got on my feet. Not giving up my career now
