Medication abortion is safe, effective, and supported by 25 years of evidence. The real danger to women is what happens when extremists like Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche threaten to take it away.

Grateful to Chad Hartman and the WCCO / CBS News Minnesota team for having me on to discuss the WHO's new Global Cancer Statistics 2026 report.
The finding that worries me most: early-onset cancers are rising, including colorectal cancer in people under 50. 🧵

The rise of larger vehicles like SUVs and pickup trucks, with their taller hoods and larger blind zones, has contributed to a 75% increase in pedestrian and cyclist deaths since 2009.

Until we design better streets and ban these vehicles, people outside these vehicles will keep dying.
The Deadly Rise of Giant Trucks and S.U.V.s (Gift Article)
The vehicles on American roads have grown larger — and they are killing thousands more pedestrians, a Times investigation found.

Before I could finish, Bhattacharya cut me off to say something like: “what you’re doing is political!”

I replied: “More political than speaking at CPAC?”

He responded: “I’m in a political position and you’re not!” And then stormed off.

So I have it straight from Jay, I’m safe from schedule P/C!

I still see influencers and media pundits suggesting that those who are battling RFK Jr.’s anti-science activities should “find common ground” with MAHA, and specifically with MAHA moms.

This thread is about why I refuse to do so, which boils down to this: they reject the scientific method.

Physicians have a duty to stand up for patients and science, even at professional and personal cost.
At the American Medical Association’s annual meeting, members of the group’s House of Delegates sent a clear message to their leaders: Call out RFK Jr. — even if it costs us in the pocketbook.
America’s doctors just voted for war with RFK Jr.
The American Medical Association has sought a working relationship with the health secretary. Members saw moral compromise.

The differences are not, in fact, "minimal." Collins must lose the race. Stop trying to throw the election to her.
Maybe the Fetterman experience has taught them Collins and Platner are two sides of a shit coin. The differences could be minimal. And Collins doesn't have a Nazi tattoo.
