I invited my sisters to see Fellowship, without them having read the books. I'll never forget one of them's shocked expression when she realized the story wasn't over.
(They didn't watch the rest, and I don't blame her. I hate being pedantic, but in this case, the books were much better).

On a much smaller scale, this reminds me of seeing FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING during its original theatrical run, and when the credits rolled someone behind me declared to their friend "wait, there's going to be *another* movie?"

SUPERMAN is a powerfully uplifting film absolutely necessary in these times, and its character-first approach drives any messages folks choose to take from it, if their hearts & minds are open to them. Superman has always represented the best of humanity, & what it means to choose decency above all.
Went to SUPERMAN for my birthday. 2/3 of the way through, major storms rolled in & a lightning strike sent a power surge to the theater, stopping the film for about 20min.
