ANOTHER death in ICE detention which appears likely to be the result of medical neglect.

A diabetic who told his family members he wasn't receiving regular insulin shots OR getting diabetic-appropriate meals just died in custody.

The U.S. prison-ICE detention-industrial complex kills.

Dentistry is one of the most corrupt professions in America. Just rife with fraud like this.
in the spring i saw a dentist, he said i had 8 cavities and it would be $2k to get them all fixed. i went to the dentist yesterday, guy says I have no cavities and that he doesn't know why the first guy told me that. cool profession

AI companies would have a much easier time convincing skeptics if they offered one single positive use case. Like "AI cures leukemia." Or "AI cures herpes." Or "AI speeds road construction projects by 70%." Or "AI reduces income tax by half."

Instead it's just this. Over and over.

Weirdly, I don’t see the same people worrying about that. Odd. Wonder why that might be

Vaccines are a great idea! Everyone should be getting Covid boosters at least twice a year (because protection wanes after about 3-4 months). But if you are next to hacking person at work, on public transportation, or at school, and you are actively breathing in a ton of Covid, it’s not magic.

This is genuinely disinformation. Vaccines are great are reducing severity, they do not greatly reduce your risk of getting sick, and even that effect wanes within a few months. Masking with n95s or kn95s and cleaning the air are the best protections against getting sick.

This will be an exceptional level of humid heat for coastal Southern CA, even relative to very humid periods earlier this summer. While high-quality long-term humidity records are hard to come by, this will likely bring some of the most miserably humid air on record to SoCal.

God already built a wall through Big Bend — it's called the Chisos Mountains.

We don't need to give billions of our tax dollars to out of state vendors.

We don't need to desecrate this sacred land.

We don't need this useless, disgraceful, corrupt Big Bend border wall.

For many years, people didn’t randomly film others in public—not because we didn’t have the technology, but because the social contract said you didn’t do that.

That’s why Meta is going full court press on their PR and celebrity endorsements. They remember how people ran google glass outta town.

A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. But here's an interesting fact: wisteria are in the legume family (Fabaceae). This is a magic beanstalk.
