250 years is not a bad run. But the country was torn down as fast as a wing of the White House

Racists are great for politicians because they are so profoundly easy to manipulate. They will overlook low wages, bad hours, high rents and exploitation as long as they can blame brown people. They are a gift to the oligarch class.

Why is a judicial court made from political appointees? A court has to be apolitical and unbiased.

That classic Enterprise in orbit making an ongoing left hand turn is iconic. (But also means the planet is about a mile across. )

If you don’t prosecute a guy for staging an insurrection … you can hardly complain when he goes on to break less important laws.

If a minority vote leads to majority power - it’s not a very good democratic system. Just saying. The electoral college is designed to disenfranchise.
September 8, 2026 at 5:35 AM
But being told your lack of prosperity is down to migrants and not corporate greed is so much more appealing when you are racist to begin with.
September 8, 2026 at 5:32 AM
How’s that working out for you?
A simpler solution is to not offer king powers to anyone. Not even a king.
Also try not to have your legal system dominated by political appointees. It’s an invitation to outright partisan decision making.

Electrification with solar and batteries reduces the cost of energy. What’s more it makes us less dependent upon dictators and unstable geopolitical elements.
Oh. And it means not killing the fucking planet.
September 7, 2026 at 11:25 AM
Yeah, but he makes out that it’s the migrants who are taking all the wealth. And Americans are so incredibly racist, they believe him.
September 7, 2026 at 11:09 AM
The energy transition is inevitable. Europe needs to get ahead of the game.

The utility benefits of bipedalism outweigh the mechanic disadvantages.
September 7, 2026 at 8:31 AM
But efficient design requires the fewest components. Additional limbs in a domestic setting would be an impediment. But your big bug would be great for disaster relief or industrial applications where a low centre of mass and stability are useful.
September 7, 2026 at 8:25 AM
You are adding more mechanical complexity. And a giant metal cockroach would unsettle my cat.

Seems preferable to dying of thirst sitting in my own poop. But each to their own.

Every door, staircase, piece of furniture, tool, window is designed to be operated by a human shaped entity. A squat wheeled unit or a quadruped is not going to be able to empty my dishwasher.
September 7, 2026 at 8:12 AM
No. I don’t want a human being wiping my ass or carrying me to the toilet. It diminishes us both. A machine which gives me autonomy and independence is a good thing.

The legal system has inbuilt checks. Meanwhile a single corrupt individual has not. Not sure what the American “founding fathers” were smoking.
September 7, 2026 at 7:06 AM
I blame the voters.
September 7, 2026 at 6:55 AM
Imagine being so racist you vote for a convicted felon who is as incompetent as he is corrupt.
September 7, 2026 at 6:54 AM
Indeed - if the outcome of an entire judicial system can be overturned by the whim of an individual, it makes a mockery of justice.
September 6, 2026 at 1:55 PM
Speaking as someone from a different country. Why should an elected official get king powers at all?
