Canada just gave the one trillion dollar F-- You to Donald Trump.
This is a historic moment.
But as we welcome investors from around the world it falls to Canadians to be vigilant about what is being put up for sale.

Will pay money for a supercut of Trump saying outrageous, offensive, intolerable things and world leader after world leader just sitting there awkwardly, a rictus smile plastered on their face, rather than exploding in response and/or punching him in the throat.

I haven't talked about covid-19 for a while and that's because the indicators remain low for Ontario. However, lab testing and hospital trend data show the numbers are starting to rise. I continue to encourage vaccinations for those in more vulnerable groups, including seniors like myself.

In a similar vein, I’m freaked out at how little outrage the Moneris sale is generating. Canadians get all nationalist about a map name change (right so) but not about all our financial transaction data being sold off to American tech firms?
Ontarians are more mad about “Lake America” nonsense…which isn’t a thing here, our maps haven’t changed yet, and will go back when he’s gone…but things like this that affect us, our money, our kids, it will barely blip.

So basically, the AfD is powered by people nostalgic for an East Germany under the thumb of Russia, where those who tried to escape to freedom were shot in the back at the Berlin Wall. Strange times.

AfD has a gender and age gap:

- Men consistently show a higher % of votes for the party than women in every single age category.

- Support for the party is highest among middle-aged voters, specifically the 35–44 & 45–59 age brackets for both sexes.

But so far, that hasn't stop their rise.
