Oh, I guess I could post a link to my short film here. Didn't really promote it well on the old site. Hope I can get back into filmmaking one day.

we have thousands of potential dolly partons and tim curries already walking amongst us. most of them are begging for rent money or getting crushed at a shitty job

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

"Death of the author" is a literary theory that emphasizes the personal interaction and connection to an artistic work over the concept of an authorial ultimate meaning.

"Separate the art from the artist" is a catchphrase to mumble to yourself so you can justify buying more Harry Potter shit.

I implore you. Like things.

I don't mean to hit an engagement button on social media sites. I mean enjoy stuff. Don't be beige. Cringe is a manifestation of internal fear and other's condiditoning shame for no reason. It's bs. Be weird.

This is literally why there's a bipartisan effort to remove internet access from young people.

It's an attack on queer people, leftists, and anyone who questions authority.

They don't want our children finding out that MLK and Frida Kahlo were socialists or that Stonewall was a riot.
Having social media access made growing up gay 1 million times easier (I don’t think I would even know I was gay as a teen if it weren’t for social media), but it also made growing up progressive and informed possible. Social media was where I learned about abortion rights, for starters

Hey, so just because it's still Pride Month and this is one of my peeves that's making the rounds again:

Treating queer people as "inappropriate for children" is in effect making our existence obscene.

I was exposed to endless hetero romance as a child and STILL turned out gay.

What the fuck is it good for? Im asking sincerely. Medical people say its shit for diagnosing, its utter garbage for creative fields, it cannot teach and hallucinates false answers, programmers have to fix its code half the time, businesses find it doesn't help productivity and it causes psychosis.

If you, as a White person, ever truly want to be an ally against racism? You need to kill the part of yourself that pines for a simpler, less racist time. It didn't exist. What you're actually pining for is the rosy tinted glasses of not knowing about the racism. You're asking to be unaware again.

The internet wasn't a mistake.

It saved lives. It's allowed community. It's one of the best advancements in modern history for information.

The mistake was normalizing rampant cruelty and dunk culture and protecting predators and harassers over victims.

People think I’m being alarmist when I say they are trying to make you dumb. They feel entitled to control how and to what extent you can access knowledge. They send their kids to tech-free schools while ensuring public school kids can’t read. They want you illiterate.

For years we said they’re going for a genocide of trans people and for years we were told to “stop being so dramatic.”

Now we’re at the point of human experimentation with the explicit goal of eradicating us.

Can we call the genocide a fucking genocide now?

The reason you can’t give a single inch on anything be it trans rights or dignity for unhoused people is that they, democrats and republicans alike, will take it and say thanks what else is in your pockets? They won’t say thanks actually.
