Every time I see a photo of the Rose Garden-paved patio with the yellow umbrellas raised, I always first think I’m looking at a twirling teacups type of ride. Every single time. It looks so tacky & commercial. All Trump did was destroy an historic space & contribute to global warming.

You know, reading about Trump identifying a squirrel on a cognitive test & his boasts about “acing” “very hard” cognitive tests makes me shake my head. I just took my first such test at my wellness exam at age 67. It was a standard test given since I was over 65. The test is EASY!

It’s silly, but I’m watching the movie Crime 101. It’s charming to me that the grizzled cop played by Mark Ruffalo moves into his trial separation digs with his big old cat. In a lot of these kinds of movies, the guy has a dog, but this guy has a cat. I now trust him to be a good guy.

The @washingtonpost.com just published an editorial by the Editorial Board calling for Democratic lawmakers to be voted out of office for considering gerrymandering the state voting lines just like Texas did at the behest of Trump. This has @jeffbezos13.bsky.social fingerprints all over it.

production of The Muppet Show should not be dependent on petty vulgarities like “ratings” or “revenue.” it should be preserved as a vital function of american culture. it should have a taxpayer-funded budget rivaling the CIA

I just saw this pic of Mike Johnson shaking Trump’s hand at some function. Are the GOP, incl the guy 2nd in line to the Presidency, bowing to Trump these days? This is the kind of thing one sees in England when an Englishman is meeting King Charles. What is this BS? We don’t bow to our leaders!

“Tin soldiers & Trump is coming, we’re finally on our own. This winter I hear the drumming. Two dead in Minn’sota. Got to get down to it. Soldiers are gunning U.S. down. Should have been done long ago.” With thanks to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s “Ohio.” The original is about Nixon & Kent State.

I was never in favor of abolishing ICE out right. It does do some important work, but it’s been infiltrated through the “hiring surge” w/lawless cowboys looking for black & brown people & their supporters to harass & harm. It needs to be torn down completely & rebuilt with compassion & empathy.
"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know.

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

Hey @kellymorrisonmn.bsky.social, you should do this too.
Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

As the mother (and ex-wife) of Canadians, I just want to let Canada know that most of us Americans recognize how unhinged the orange dictator wannabe is and we are really sorry that he is (again!) threatening you. We are doing what we can. Which admittedly isn’t much. Sorry.

The Prime Minister of Norway should counter DJT by announcing that the EU will invade the U.S. Virgin Islands because the PM didn’t win the Pearson Medal of Peace (awarded by a private org in Canada). Makes about as much sense.

In an ironic twist, Germany sends troops to protect against an invasion of an ally by a raving lunatic. When did we start living in a Mel Brooks movie?

Trump has been questioning Denmark’s “ownership” of Greenland by claiming that ownership was not conveyed just because a boat landed somewhere. Uh, Donald, don’t look now, but the Indigenous People living in America want a word with you. As do the Mexicans who had settled the Southwest long ago.

THE LION IN WINTER (1968)
John Castle plays Geoffrey – the son nobody but the historians remember.
Geoffrey: I know. You know I know. I know you know I know. We know Henry knows, and Henry knows we know it. We're a knowledgeable family.

I remember the horror of the shootings at Kent State and the uproar that followed. One of my favorite songs is “Ohio” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. “Tin soldiers and Nixon’s coming…” Substitute Trump for Nixon and we have the current situation. Why isn’t there similar outrage over the shooting
