Don’t ask an elected official if they “believe” in climate change, it’s not a religion.

Don’t ask if they think it’s serious: it is.

Ask them what matters most: what are they doing about it?

Excellent application here, 10/10 no notes 👏⬇️👏
I just finished my summer project of writing to Liberal MPs asking what they are personally doing about climate change. The government seems unaware of the billions of dollars of cost. Wrrite to any MP w/o postage. House of Commons Ottawa K1A 0A6.

In Texas, the State is removing climate change courses from the core curriculum.

They have decided that climate change is just too dangerous to teach the students. This is indoctrination.

I wrote an oped about it in the SA Express-News.

Climate impacts are not partisan. And caring about our homes, health, families, and futures shouldn’t be either.

@fisherdanar.bsky.social & I look at what climate communicators can teach us about connecting climate change to the things people already care about most.

I suggest we start talking about this in °F. 4°C = 7.2°F, which seems like a lot more warming to my U.S. ears.

Seriously, the ocean being 7°F above the reference period is an amazing forecast. It takes *a lot* of energy to heat water, so this indicates a *huge* redistribution of energy.
Just in: New NMME August run joins the new Euro in forecasting a peak near +4°C in the Nino 3.4 region. (+3.94°C to be exact in Nov) The evolution of the realtime obs and models from month to month is remarkable… #elnino
