A picture paints a thousand words, but a thousand words doesn't always paint a clear picture.
Home garden cooks know there's just something wonderful about cooking with food you grew yourself. It feels more rewarding knowing you put the work in.

Apparently successfully foraging and cooking something is it's own level of rewarding. Put me in the best mood I've been in in years!

About that Puffball and those Chicken of the Woods.

They are delicious, but my favorite part is they were literally dirt cheap.

For dinner tonight I will be frying up chicken of the woods and puffball mushrooms panko style with white rice. Gonna be delicious methinks!

Hit the jackpot out hiking at Kraemer. Snagged a puffball slightly bigger than a grapefruit, and about 1lb of chicken of the woods.

Frying up the chicken and makin' a cream of mushroom soup outa the puffball!

I positively ABHORR Windows. My eyes have been hurting playing games for months, and today while investigating why my screen was turning off despite my settings being at NEVER turn off, I found out it's been throttling my refresh rate.

I have a 165hz monitor and it's been running at 60hz.

The stupidity is just unreal.

If you're evil, you're so smart you're good because you get things done.

This is what this troglodyte just said, and he has too much power in our culture.

In the famous words of Stan Smith "Every villain is the hero of his own APPLE CINNAMON MONKEY TOASTER."
This is actually hell, right?

Saw a youtube piece on Richard Feynman on why you should touch trees.

And all I can think is "The AI slop version would be Richard Feynman on why you should have sex with trees."

When people ask why I don't go to cultural or community events, I often have to just say it's not my thing.

But the truth is I don't go because it's a trigger for trauma.

I spent YEARS getting out my comfort zone to go to cultural and community events.

Just a reminder Ed Sheeran was homeless when he found stardom, and then immediately began to shit all over homeless people including erecting anti-homeless architecture in front of his home.

So none of this stuff with him really surprises me here.

I get the Mayo Clinic has some prestige behind it, but literally everyone I know, myself included, has had bad experiences with their doctors.

They can be some of the cockiest, most arrogant dickwads on the planet and I will die on that hill.

My local provider is LEAGUES better than the Mayo.

Waking up to a cat by your feet dead asleep is one of the best feelings in the world.

It really sucks when people only try to connect on what THEY want. I get this is somewhat natural for a lot of people, but I don't work that way.

I've gotten out of my comfort zone my whole life for people who never once did it for me. That shit starts to hurt. Therapy levels of hurt.

Ya know, if I had one superpower to pick, it would be to elevate people's minds to be more emotionally intellectual, situationally aware, logical and deductive.

It's just too bad you really can't fix stupid.

My brother professionally #3Dprints #miniatures and #figures for #tabletop games like #DnD and #Warhammer!

He's launching his business by giving 3D printed bookmarks to his local #library for a sale they're doing, and I think he deserves some love!

Hey #writingcommunity and #indieauthors, was there a point where you lost all motivation to write?

Even Ray Bradbury had this moment when his wife passed.

If you can't find motivation in the things you already have, what do you do to motivate?

Days like this make me wish Full-Dive VR was a thing so I could just not be in my body for a bit. Chronic pain is extremely exhausting.

I made a lovely Stratta. I do a lot of home cooking on low budget, I should make some content based around what I know after years cooking at home and in coffee shops.

No one:

Me: Oh just making food truck worthy fried chicken sandwiches for dinner as the easy option over here.

All I really want is a small piece of land in a quiet area where I can sustain myself as much as possible.

Well, looks like I get to wear this bandage on my leg burn for another week(week 3 now). Never knew chamomile tea could cause me this much grief in life.

My brother is starting a #3Dprinting company by giving away neat printed #bookmarks at his local #library! Primarily he wants to print #custom figures for #tabletop games, so give him some love if you're into that!

Fun fact: 9/11 led to the Patriot Act which caused massive restructuring and the creation of DHS. And now we have ICE.

Don't worry though, the racism was still plenty thick before we gave it authority in this country. The more things change, amirite?

I am getting so absolutely fed up with this bandage on my leg. It is awful with hip issues.
