The worst part is I did not set this setting this way. I NEVER would have set it this way. At some point Windows decided they knew what's best for me then ended up literally damaging my eyesight, lending to tension migraines and adding to my chronic pain.

Here's to you Windows.

I first thought "But it should still do native 165hz for games if it's set to that... right?"

Nope. Not at all. It's been throttling every game I play, every video I record playing with my friends or for myself.

After testing on Gray Zone Warfare, my neck tension is going DOWN.

There was no reciprocation of leaving their comfort zone to see what I am about. It was just "Keep doing what WE want."

And at a certain point it just isn't worth the effort, because I get nothing out of it.

Not even acknowledgement I am alive.

And all it ever got me was an expectation of going to more of these things that I never enjoyed in the first place.

When I went through a renaissance of my life and discovered who I was and what I wanted, NOBODY in the culture I lived in gave it the time of day.

So to any arrogant Mayo Clinic doctors(you probably don't know who you are though because your arrogance borders on narcissism):

Get off your high horse and go fuck it in someone else's barn.

This is brought to you by my Mom going through surgery with one of the most massive pricks I've ever heard of in my life.

He wouldn't answer questions, was indignant during the pre-op, changed things up without explaining, and apparently was late to surgery because he was SWIMMING.

I agree. I have independently edited, published, and marketed a novella years ago.

My issue now is life has just gotten so rough I find it hard to spend time writing.

I'll admit it's partly no one was reading, but I used to enjoy writing for myself too.

I want to get back to that!

No, just minor short stories I had posted to my website.

I have entire book ideas fleshed out for 3 different IPs but haven't had motivation to really do the work.

Doesn't help my family/friends don't give my writing the time of day, so I have NO feedback on it positive or negative.

Absolutely, just not recently. I've self-published a novella, and have dozens of short stories I had on a website.

Once Covid hit and things in life got stressful writing happened less and less. I may be too focused on the not enough people are reading, and not enough on enjoying the writing.

There is also a story model in Japan called Keitai Shousetsu. I used to write small stories via Twitter when bored at work and it was quite fun.

2-3 tweets at a time for a fun little satire skit style piece. That was quite fun too!

I used to write 2-3 page short stories for an author newsletter I used to publish. Very much enjoyed the silly small stories back in the day.

It's possible I focus too much on the big IPs these days and I need to just sit and have fun with one sometime!
