I've always found reading a wonderful and necessary escape from Real Life. It is both a source of joy and also really important for my mental health as it gives me a temporary place to escape to.

37K views · 747 reactions | A remarkably rare Bronze Age sword has been discovered! ⚔️ It was found during investigations on the protected wreck sites off the Devon coast near Salcombe by volunteer divers Becky Gill and Catherine Gill, from the South West Maritime Archaeological Group. We funded a project to recruit new members and to pass knowledge and skills to a new generation of maritime archaeology volunteers, delivered in partnership with MSDS Marine and MSDS Heritage. Following conservation, the sword will be donated to the British Museum, where it will be studied and made accessible for future research. | Historic England

A case of mistaken fleece identity. While Tatty's fleece _has_ been washed, I'd forgotten that Viola's last fleece had been added to the box so what I'm currently combing is Vi's fleece (Cotswoldn x Lleyn). No wonder it looked so Cotswold-y

Onto the next phase of going from fleece to woven shawl: combing. There's a lot of wastage that comes from combing fleece but the combing waste will be used for other projects.
