I’m saying I’m sorry you’re grieving, genuinely. But the earlier claims about goth/post-punk bands promoting real-world violence were serious, and I still think claims like that need evidence, names, context, and proper reporting — not vague accusations or private whisper networks.

Doesn’t matter if someone fancied the man or never sang his praises, the mob froths and snaps as if he’d been crowned King, rightful or not. And some of you don’t even muster the howl, do you? No, you slink in with a thumbs-up, a smug little emoji, a silent smirk, staking your claim without daring to use your own voices. Equally monstrous, but far more craven. And then, you dare point and shout, “Monster!” Look in the mirror, my little darlings. I don’t burn folk at the stake for stepping in the wrong spotlight. I don’t dance on graves and call it virtue. That’s all you. So prance, gnash, gnaw all you like, but know this: the moment you show your fangs, or your coward’s grin, you’ve proven yourselves, and snip! Off my list you go. Update on Mouse. The signs are obvious even to an idiot like me. She's holding on for my sake at this point. She can't even stand on her own now. We'll be taking her on the last trip to the vet this afternoon.

I'm probably going to piss off some people, get shouted down at, and possibly banned, but I don’t care. I’ve been protesting since the late 1980s over a LOT of injustices. I’ve been to marches, die-ins, sit-ins, and rallies. I’ve been swept up, tear gassed, and threatened more times than I can count. But this? This isn’t protesting. This is polite petitioning. To those many varied groups organizing under the 50501 banner: If your events are scheduled for Saturday evenings, after the courthouses are closed, after the offices are empty, after the decision-makers have gone home, then let’s call it what it is: symbolic frustration, not real resistance. I keep hearing, “We just need to get the word out!” or “We don’t want to offend anyone!” Friends, the word is already out. And people are already offended. The injustice is known. The stakes are clear. The time for awareness campaigns has passed. This moment demands more than attendance. It demands disruption. If your protest doesn’t make those in power uncomfortable, you’re not pushing hard enough. If your action fits neatly into the schedule of a quiet weekend, it’s not a protest, it’s a performance. And if your “rally” includes musical guests and a stage lineup instead of real confrontation? Then it’s not a protest, it’s a concert. We don’t need more ceremonies. We need people willing to speak truth! Loudly, urgently, and without apology. To show up when it matters, not when it’s convenient. If you’re not ready for that… step aside. Because some of us still are. And we’re done whispering.

Among the 54 hugs I gave at the Pride festival today, one very special one was a young lady, mid 20's come running up to me and HUG me, full body, tears streaming down her cheeks, saying "I've been looking everywhere for you for DAYS now! I heard about you, and just wanted to see for myself, that magic is real and still in the world!" Of course, I hugged her right back, assuring her that yes, I am definitely real, and yes, magic still exists in this world, because she holds it in her heart, and the best thing she can do is share that magic through love with others. She thanked me profusely, tears still streaming down her cheeks, a smile bright enough to light up a world. I gave her a Coin, the back saying "You hold the Magic in your Heart!" Keep in mind, the Coins all have different sayings on them, and I randomly pull them from my pocket, never knowing which coin a person will get, but it seems like the right Coin always gets to the right person, every time. I think I did good today, overall.
