Luckily, today, it was all bluster.
The problem is this is classic abuser behavior. You feel relieved he didn’t do what you absolutely know he’s capable of doing. He enjoys the game. He enjoys keeping us all on edge. He enjoys the power he wields & and so we sit and wait for the next round.
