I have been trying to think of some practical examples as to why this matters. My daughter has to have appointments for her eyes. They are a nightmare as she can’t understand what needs to be done and so she can’t cooperate. At her school, a charity comes in and does the appointments at school.
This will be devastating for children with the most challenging needs. The wider we spread support the less able the system is to target resource to the most vulnerable. I know people don't like to say this but it is true.

I've always said ITV4 would be a perfect free to air home for #TheCricket and it may finally happen. The more the England teams can be seen, the better and test coverage would be the icing on the cake. Sky won't give up much easily but definitely a move in the right direction

Falling school rolls must be the major issue of the next 5-10 years which has least media attention.
DfE only started to track the specific risk of not responding to changing demographics in 2024 and does not yet have a clear approach to supporting the sector in deciding how and when to respond.

Falling school rolls must be the major issue of the next 5-10 years which has least media attention.
Always amazes me that this fall in numbers is so little reported.
DfE only started to track the specific risk of not responding to changing demographics in 2024 and does not yet have a clear approach to supporting the sector in deciding how and when to respond.
