More games should include fast-paced montages at the start and stop wasting my time

Hey I wrote this!

Loved me some High On Life 2. Actual belly laughs at some points, including the most unique boss phase I've ever seen. Felt like a fever dream--and not just because I was given 48 hours between code drop and embargo time lol.

Thanks @brianpshea.bsky.social for the opportunity!
High on Life 2 is the kind of game that you can put on, laugh at for a while, and forget what's troubling you, even though reminders might slip in through the pointed social commentary.

This game is absolutely nuts and amazing. The original was moderately fun but this is genuinely a gigantic leap. There are also some truly jaw dropping moments within including some wildly unexpected NES and SNES games. I am very happy that something like this was made!
High on Life 2 - the Digital Foundry review, with Oliver Mackenzie and John Linneman. Squanch Games goes big on Unreal Engine 5 features and by and large it pays off, though Series S suffers: youtu.be/auL5HysyTF0
