American raising the flags of Greenland and Canada. Long may they wave in freedom and peace.

Good at bad photography.

Loinnir (pronounced Lin-ir) is an Irish word for the flickering/dancing sparkle on the waters surface.
Here the Doolin ferry is retuning from a spin under the Cliffs of Moher on a sea full of Loinnir.

A collection of loom weights from various parts of Shetland. The weights date to Shetland’s Viking Age, and are now part of the collections at Shetland Museum & Archives. 📸 My own. #ShetlandMuseum

Just a photo at a living history event at Fort Bourtange, some chaps having a chat, a good photographer and suddenly end up with a Rembrandt painting :)

Real life mimics art with shadowy folds, velvet texture, and curvilinear structure. This beautiful ancient rose was likely planted when the house was built in 1873. Still puts on a show every year. ❤️ #Flowers #GeorgiaO'Keeffe #Photography #Gallica #19thCenturyRose

(1/2)Picked up a few of these willow Lobster/Crayfish pots from Brendan @heritagefishery (insta)
They really are works of art - I'm hoping the lobsters are so impressed that they move in 🤣
Brendan hand makes each one from willow rods he harvests on his own land.

Sweet Mock Orange is prized for fragrance making but it's also being examined for potential use as a natural insecticide. Its scent is just amazing. #mockorange #spring #flowers

Alexa Meade, known for her #illusion driven work, she paints directly onto people & real environments to make them appear flat, like #2D paintings. Instead of #painting on a canvas, she turns reality itself into the surface, blending subjects & surroundings into a single visual plane

@wealddownmuseum.bsky.social This just makes me happy.
A volunteer found this medieval bronze wheel cross and then they realised it fitted the mould they found 40 years ago:
