ICE's violence may lead to another govt shutdown as Dems work to defund Homeland Security. Just remember that Republicans have a majority and can pass their bills without Dem approval. Blaming Dems for not approving bills leading to govt shutdowns is confused thinking.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

A moment of silence please for #USAID, which is officially shuttered after months of dismantling.

Why a moment of silence? Not only for the employees. But also for the estimated 14 MILLION deaths by 2030 predicted without the agency.

For those indignant about Biden's health issues (or Trump's health issues) affecting them while in office, the answer is to create a policy of required competency assessments for presidents. And to educate people about the types of health issues that can affect competency. Beginning of story.
