Fresh off the easel, looking for its new home!
"HARD CANDY", 2026, oil on canvas, 30"x30".
$1100, including shipping in the continental US.
This canvas was probably the most technically challenging of my career, and it took me over two years to complete!

"UNCLEAN", 2025, oil on canvas, 24"x24".
Hundreds of hours went into this particularly detailed piece, which revisits many themes of my work and writing.
Oil painting on canvas, showing a crowd of menacing clowns ridiculing a shy man.

Just delivered this commissioned family portrait!
"GENTLEMEN", 2025, oil on canvas, 30"x40"

This painting took over four months to execute, and required a painstakingly steady process … but it was an absolute joy to work on.

Let me know if I can create something for you!
Family portrait of two gentlemen and their cat, seated in their garden. A bowl of fruit rests on a small marble table before them, with a fly visible on one of the bananas. The background is lushly rendered with dense foliage and tropical plants.

My latest post, "HORSESHIT AND GLITTER", is up. Once again taking a blowtorch to the American Dream.

I was commissioned by Steven J. Lawrence to animate a music video for his song “THE CHRISTMAS THAT WENT AWAY”, incorporating some gorgeous paintings by Melissa Maybee Hamel. It’s a portrait of a family’s unbreakable bond, expressed through a special childhood memory.

Liberty She is a lady of vast maladies, plodding waist deep through the ocean, forcing destinies of war in a great wave before her. Unceasing, unblinking, a comely Leviathan, she drags her shawl of failed revolutions, reeking of gunpowder and kelp. Her rags billow behind like trawling nets, cluttered with plagues and broken friezes. Her mouth is a pit of cruel shanties, ancient songs of fatigue, crushed armies, trench foot, and within her wake twirls a flotsam of blindfolded men. When she finally reaches the far country, she will storm ashore, her hair a tangle of whips and lanyards, and she will bare her breast amid the bunting and bayonets, and she will wave her flag over an ashen mush of corpses, and her victory will be total, and final, and glorious. LITTLE KING Enjoy your victory, little king, for I withdraw, and surrender to you your little kingdom: your browning fields, your withered grapes, your heaps of weeds, your crop of burrs. Once again, you're free to rule … to stamp your feet, to bay and howl, to bang your scepter ... and none shall defy you, save for crows. At last you may reign, supreme and gleaming, enthroned and alone on your hill of clods. None shall question, none shall balk, none shall doubt your bravery. Enjoy your crown, little king, and all its weight. Your spades may be rusting and your soil may be taxed, but your genius shall be uncontested, as perfect and sturdy as a marble column, and you'll remain the mighty one in fables you tell the grasshoppers.
