I've received a few comments saying that I'm ceding to transphobes. Absolutely fucking not. Let me be clear. That first video is still staying up. I am still going to do video essays. And ALL my video essays will be about queer/trans subjects.

Go on, fucking do it. We've got libraries. Kids could learn how to search there and collate essays. It's genuinely fun and enables curiosity.

last year, a game design class at the Bauhaus University of Weimar, where the students were assigned to analyze games by making videos about them, invited me to deliver a remote lecture on how I make video essays. I have now recreated that lecture for patrons.

Reading Ursula Le Guin's essays, even if I've read them before, always clarifies my thoughts and feelings on something. She really was one of the great minds of the twentieth century.
