My January resolution is to finish media I've started before starting anything new. Books and shows alike.
Despite spending 3 weeks away from my nephew, I can decipher his toddler speak better then my brother lol.

I said it at the time (and before!), but I truly believe that American voters electing Donald Trump for a second term in 2024 was the dumbest and most self-harming choice made by an electorate in the history of humanity

I've been pretty checked out of sports but decided to watch the game today. Love to see a Lindor grand slam.

I'm so incredibly frustrated with these people. How difficult is it to READ AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN AN EMAIL?! WHY do I need to follow up constantly bc y'all lack reading comprehension?! Ugh. Fuck.

I don't really put my personal business online anymore. Not since Twitter died. I could randomly vent into the void there. Sometimes I do here, but not at all like I used to. All that to say, I'm not doing well and I've finally asked for help. Let's hope it helps and I stop waking wishing I didn't.

I've been rewatching all the Jurassic Park movies... and this one line at the end of Dominion for me thinking about how stupid everything is now. "The idea that life on Earth existed 65 million years ago... it's humbling."
Humans are the ones that are going to create our own extinction.

I made dinner two nights in a row. Someone clap for me.

This is why I rescheduled my massage appt. I'd rather not deal with all the diverted traffic to the bridge.

A cinema in Canada never received their Spider-Man Brand New Day posters so one of the employees drew his own and it is one of the greatest things I have ever seen

The battle to keep global heating from passing the agreed 1.5-degree threshold has been lost.

This should be an era when human ingenuity works to save the planet from catastrophe.

Instead the tech broligarchy is busy embarking upon ludicrous AI data centre “infrastructure” fuelled by coal and gas.

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

I don’t remember which comedian said, I know the Grim Reaper is an old white male because anyone else this bad at their job would have been fired by now, but I agree with that sentiment.

These posts from America First Policy Institute show that Enes Kanter Freedom not only colluded with the Trump grift on his WNBA stunt but is also on the take from MAGA. He's literally the paid protester Republicans scream about.

(h/t @timmiller.bsky.social for pointing this out on his shows)

Both Dolly Parton and Tim Curry had such a genuine enthusiasm for performing that it was impossible not to love them for it, there were things more highly and lowly regarded in their bodies of work but both of them threw themselves into everything because it was pure joy for them and that rules

One thing about Dolly Parton's passing that strikes me is that unlike some others, she experienced a lot of praise before passing. It wasn't saved for obituaries. There were regular (warranted) love-fests for Parton.

I wish that for everyone. It's a good day to tell people you appreciate them.

We're not a cat family. None of us has ever had one as a pet, strictly dogs. There is one sole exception, and that's our Olib Kitty, that chose us, unofficially & affectionately dubbed Mitsy - bc of black marks on her back paws(IIRC). I got home and gave her a mortadella late night snack.
