I did a somewhat deep dive into the recent OpenAI and Anthropic "hacks" for an upcoming interview.
IMO, the AI companies are better off running with the "rogue AI" story because the real story is actually pretty embarrassing.

I think one trap we fall into is treating disinformation as a supply issue, rather than a demand issue. Is this people being converted into skeptics by Fox, or people seeking out media that aligns with their experiences, however flawed it may be?

Btw any analysis of the Dover incident needs to keep in mind that one main aim of Far Right networks behind them is to project an image of momentum, power, discipline that can attract a wider range of recruits.

i know this is what "i never thought the leopards would eat my face" is exactly describing. but i'd argue what something like the Milo incident shows is that their version is even shallower than that. they're playing GTA and everyone but them is an NPC. life's barely real to them.
