Did the whole year of the Linux desktop fiasco taught us nothing?
There is a large slice of people that is not tech. It's not that they can't learn: their interest is somewhere else, and we can't pretend they learn just to use the right tech.
We need to find a way to present the cool thing to them

Disappointing to see an increasing number of tech critics see the recent AI security events and conclude "maybe the doomers are correct and AI is an existential risk" rather than "maybe the tech execs are an existential risk"

an interesting study that people are overinterpreting in a variety of ways. should we assume that the exam scores measure "learning" quite well? this is also obviously a transitional period where students and tests developed in one regime are adapting to a wholly different one
"Kids are told AI is 'inevitable' and acting accordingly. This is harming their cognitive development and foreclosing their life opportunities. Generative AI is cognitive cancer and we are doing next to nothing to stop it from spreading."

The thinkstation has more 'aura' than the spark imo. It looks more serious. More fitting for a serious machine mind to live within. Though the spark does have more whimsy. It's a very close race. They both mog whatever Asus is doing.
