Bottom of the ocean takes the cake for all of the questions. We know next to nothing about it, practically no light, and what you do find down there seems alien and unnatural.

Confiscating the passport of the elected representative of the opposition territory in a raid with a flimsy pretext to attempt to strip them of citizenship is something we have words for when it happens in other countries

I'm pretty sure not a week has gone by that you haven't made me cry (complementary) 🥺

Probably somewhere in elementary school. I was definitely the kid who loaned out every Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark from the school library multiple times, specifically because I loved the Stephen Gammel art. I didn't understand why some kids didn't think it was so awesome.

I'm guessing he's walking or cycling the whole way then. No time to sneak a nap in during the car or plane ride. Poor guy 🙄

I now cook for a living, and my biggest mental dilemma is being flabbergasted when ppl don't know how to cook for themselves while knowing there are whole generations of people who will gladly pay me money because of it.

Almost daily I am reminded how lucky I was to have grown up in a food-centric home. Not that we ate all the time, but that everyone alive in that family knew how to cook and it was important to learn how to do it properly and well. The kitchen was the true heart of the home.

This. I didn't have a teacher who cared until I hit 7th grade. She was my math teacher. I hated her lol. Then she set me up with getting into extracurriculars as an outlet for my ADHD and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

The one thing I learned is they won't tow it if it's current on registration. As soon as it expires, they'll bag it and tag it tho. Check the tags.

no lie, when I first moved into my house there was an abandoned vehicle right next door. after way too many calls to get a cop out to check it, ends up it had been reported stolen.

Also had a truck sit so long that weeds were growing in the bed and they wouldn't tow it until the reg expired. 🙃

Milton Hershey also ran a company town with tons of great ammenities and then paid his workers so little that they couldn't afford to use them.
Hershey's is the candy version of Carnegie Steel, complete with the strikes.

It looks like they're crammed into the corner of a convention hall. Like there's something waaay more interesting happening on the other side of that blue wall.

This is hilarious not only for the time capsule it is, but bc those guides ripped off. He could have just been holding normal paper and it would've aged so much better and still fit in just fine w the original audience 😂
