There are plenty of smart people who suck. But we've got some complicated problems in this world that the average dumbass can't solve. And there are some pretty decent smart folks out there. So maybe our country can park this BS anti-intellectual fetish for a second and focus on the real problems?

One of these days we're gonna have to reckon with the fact that "money that I spend which does not directly benefit me is a waste" is a popular sentiment.
I think we should state plainly that this is selfish on its face.

We keep acting flabbergasted when Trump/Elon do something that will clearly cripple our country in the long run. But this is actually what most of Trump's supporters want. They want it to all burn.
