A #Siphonophore, which are often mistaken for #jellyfish, are quite common in the midwater environment. This species has a bubble of CO connected to its “top” to self-right. PSA - it’s on the “do not lick” list.

Our #penguinpicoftheday #PPOTD is of a group of king penguins in the Falkland Islands, a bunch of parents, in fact, raising their chicks. I saw these guys for the first time in January 2018 with @grantshat.bsky.social and what a blast we had counting them and watching them just be penguins.

This is such a beautiful flower. I only have a few of the Orange double bloom daylilies but I look forward to them every year. They are in the back of my property so they bloom later than all the other lilies. 🌱
