Really looking forward to statements from DeMuth and Tafoya today on the latest disgusting & dangerous attack on MN Somalis. If they win, they will represent *ALL* MNs. Do they agree with the president & Emmer? Will it be a tepid non-response that calls for civility on both sides? A repudiation (😂)?

After she lost the primary, Angie Craig told her supporters to get behind Flanagan. Has she done or said anything since then to encourage her supporters to back Peggy? Emails, ads, comments anywhere? Seems like she’s fully sitting it out now, and dreaming of the WNBA.

The death penalty is one of the most barbaric things we do and the fact that not only do we do it, the supreme court’s precedent is to make sure we do it hard and fast and recklessly, is a deep, awful shame.
BREAKING: SCOTUS’s Republican appointees will allow Tennessee to kill Christa Pike tonight, vacating a stay of execution entered by the Sixth Circuit this morning. The three Democratic appointees dissent.

Sort of this one. But I fell asleep partway through (I was…..7?) and to this day have never seen the whole thing. Or any other Star Wars movie or tv series or spinoff. My record is pure.

I am late to watching House of the Dragon season 3. First two seasons mostly just ok. But last night I watched season 3 episode 1 and holy crap, the Battle of the Gullet! I couldn’t sleep afterwards, I was too riled up.

The universality of Dolly: I am with an int’l group of hikers in a small town in Ireland. I got the news from a friend and told them at dinner. The German, the Americans, the Canadians & the South African all gasped and said “oh no!” and immediately picked up their phones to learn more. RIP, queen.

Who is going to find time in their week this week to donate blood? The American Red Cross declared only its second ever national blood crisis in 145 years. There’s only a day’s worth of O+!

The first rule of Wiener Wednesday is, you don’t text about Wiener Wednesday!

PS - don’t do something called Wiener Wednesday at work. FFS.

For the first time in an entire lifetime of having dogs, I have one who is chill enough (when tired from a dog park AND a walk) to sit with us on a patio for a meal. 15 months old, and he just watched all the dogs & kids, without trying to play with any of them….or eat the food. Good boy!! 🐕

I found this in our yard & I’m worried it’s the start of a horrible apocalyptic zombie thing. All other signs seem to be pointing that way too (fires/smoke/heat, advancing fascism, war).

Currently watching Highlander. I had forgotten how phenomenally cheesy this movie is. The acting is…..oooof. And Sean Connery’s shifting accent as an “Egyptian.” Yikes. At least there’s the soundtrack.

Sigh…..Indy, at age 11. Iconic. And Harrison Ford still has it.

It’s #InternationalPuppyDay?!?! Every day is puppy day here. This little pogo-bouncy, spazzy, bitey great big soft cuddly chaos tornado is almost a year old and we adore him.

A PSA, in case anyone needs it: don’t eat your bed, there are very serious (and expensive) consequences.

The puppy is recovering well on day 5 post-op, but almost certainly would have died without surgery. Little stinker.

I’m going to wait to call this a victory until I’m sure the words are followed by actions….lasting actions. Why would anyone give them the gift of trust on this?
