Why is he telling people in Ohio to vote for Tafoya? Just confused about which state he’s in?

There will be no insurance to get, if there are no government payments (Medicare or Medicaid) to insurers. Essentially this would mean eliminating those programs. It’s nonsensical.

So we’re stopping all payments to insurance companies. What does that mean? Direct payment for every service? Or (traditional) Medicare for all, with no managed care, no MA?

Agree with the ask, whether or not we think Peggy is running a good campaign.

But I’m mystified by the take that Tafoya is running a great campaign and Flanagan isn’t. Tafoya seems mostly silent, invisible. Is that good? I’m curious about the argument being made.

Doesn’t feel slow motion to me. Probably not to my Somali neighbors, either.

People need to stay the fuck away from my Somali neighbors.

Maybe he was uncomfortable with your weird relentless fetish about other people’s genitals and sex habits and being randomly accosted to talk to you about it, Joanne.

The Fog. Scared the absolute shit out of me.

The absolute contempt for women.

Definitely inspires confidence.

I’ve seen a few HR emails lately that talk about “the primary tenant” or “an important tenant” rather than tenet and it drives me NUTS.

“Stop changing the clocks because church steeples are dangerously tall” is quite a compelling argument though.

Not automatically assuming your ideas are always the best ones.

Again, the superior city (despite our current mayoral embarrassments).

I enjoyed it but it’s definitely polarizing. Does Mpls public library not have a “lucky day” program like St. Paul, where there’s a special shelf of very popular books that can’t be reserved in advance (so if there’s a copy, it’s your lucky day)? That’s how I got it.

What’s the book?
October 3, 2026 at 1:47 AM
My friends and I have a whole text thread that’s basically “this book just showed up. Did you recommend it, or did you?”
October 3, 2026 at 1:34 AM
Man, he just does NOT get it, does he?
October 3, 2026 at 1:30 AM
I suspect it wouldn’t change much. It’s a perverted revenge fantasy.

For me, even if I knew the verdicts were never wrong, the courts were unbiased and the execution was “humane,” (oxymoron), I would still think it was an abomination.

I have never understood it. Decades ago, in a poli sci class at my liberal university, my prof did a poll on it and I was one of only a few who opposed it. Shocked me then, shocks me now that people can support such barbarity.

Disgusting. We should be ashamed.
