Inspired in the Year of the Fire Horse 🥰

A tiny sketch for a dear friend on Patreon that I finished a while ago

It's weird to finally see the light out of a severe burnout period. And in the Year of the Horse!
Not all my tiny sketches have colors, it depends on the day! 🥰

Anime UwU was an experience I didn't know I needed. Super small, anime/manga centered, small audience but so kind. Also, super kind, hardworking and experienced neighbors. We complimented each other as much as we could. I always learn so much from everyone and I'm thankful I can do this in DFW too ❤️

Manga and anime brought me to making art (slight obsession with Saint Seiya in the 90's), I'm really happy to join this!

Horrific faces appear in water, green hands appear behind her trying to grab her. Above her, the wall of reality is breaking as skulls come right at her. A horse stands shoulder deep in a pool of water in an open field. Fireflies all around him. 2 buildings stand on each side behind him at the distance. The giant moon appears in the background behind 2 hills. All seems peaceful, until you look down to the horse's reflection. A horse skeleton is looking straight at you, instead of the reflection of the beautiful horse you would expect. Kerberos, the hound of hell comes out to play. A 3 headed german Sheppard puppy with a snake as a tail is jumping out of an entrance to the Underworld. Behind there are a few columns and at the distance the sea and the moon. Little boar babies sleeping in the safety of the rocks look at the puppy. 3 yellow puppies are chillin' on an abandoned camp. One of the puppies happily sets himself inside a warm cave. They found a warm quiet place to settle, with some food still around. In reality this camp was recently a battlefield where a dragon and a knight beat each other. Their bodies silently wither away while some puppies find this excellent place to stay for a while.

A river mermaid for a collector at Patreon 🥰

I opened a tier to offer these. I call them "ink sketches" because I don't plan them 100% and I'm not freaking out if I make mistakes. I just let them be practice for ideas, problem solving and getting familiar with my nib pens!

This is the week where I can shamelessly share horse art! This is an all time favorite, finished in 2017.

"Eternity". Oil on canvas. 30" x 40".

This was a very defining painting for me and a very personal image. Cathartic at the time when I needed it. Now, I'm just proud and happy I painted it.

My piece today is "The lovers" from the "Unbridled Spirit Tarot".

When thinking of horses, most think of freedom and power. I think of cautious creatures that thrive and find power in community 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
A painting of 3 wild horses. A young horse looks forward to a very protective, dominant Pinto stallion that's protecting a mare. They're in fields inspired in Wyoming. There are lots of purple/pinkish lupine flowers, rocks, and a rattlesnake hidden there below flowers similar to fire twisters.
