The Unherd article states “the rise of mixed race britain will change the way we think about race” - I disagree. Those who present as white will be white unless they let it slip or have an ethnic surname. Those of us who don’t will still be on Reform’s potential deportation list. Same as it ever was

Every positive reaction is now offset by a negative reaction. In the past a positive reaction (buying a DVD say) wasn’t offset by people UNbuying a DVD. You just saw an appreciative audience. The people you didn’t make your film for didn’t register in your dataset.

Absolutely all power to you. Genuinely wanted plane to crash on way home so could just die with husband after a happy time rather than go back to work but kids lives would be ruined etc. I think many of us live that way and I hate it. So I’m very proud of and happy for you, it is the right choice

If it’s any help, I’m literally feeling like I’m going to be sick and having actual ideation at the thought of work next week after two weeks off, it’s no fucking way to live and if you’ve managed to tell yourself you’re worth better and act on it you are brilliant

I’m incredibly envious of you but totally get your fear. I like to think I would do the same if didn’t have kids (son esp) dependent. Hope you get something you can bear soon or that husb gets a big contract with someone loaded xxxx
