I don't need everyone to agree with me. I don't want people who are different from me to be alienated/singled out/attacked. I don't want people to beg, or go broke to be warm/fed/safe/healthy.
I was raised with these values, they are who I am.
How did Conservatives miss this growing up in Canada?

This simple, yet touching act, symbolizes the deep bonds of respect & gratitude Canada still receives from actual allies.
American politics is so brutal, toxic & disfunctional that it could never sustain this sort of friendship. Vindictive, purely transactional politics would vindictively defund it.

Tr**p has shat out another series of economic torpedos meant to bring us to our knees.
This is a jumble of Canadian commercial and consumer products the idiot emperor of Mira Lago has cobbled together, now banned from the US.
This is not a list of tariffed goods, they’re banned. Stay tuned.

Il s’agit d’une crise de plus en plus désespérée. L’itinérance au Québec est une conséquence honteuse des compressions budgétaires dans le domaine de la santé mentale. Sans parler de la nature prédatrice du secteur du logement.

The US Senate and Dem caucus in the House are desperately trying to cash in on late stage Tr**p pirate economy.
Insider stock trading wasn’t enough for these greedy monsters.
But, sure. Let’s talk about DSA being anti-Semitic Bolsheviks.
Democrats really could sweep the midterm elections with a national data center moratorium if they wanted to. They don’t seem to want to.

In case you were wondering why things are the way they are.

I love the REM, Montreal’s new light rail transport.
But, the noise level onboard is way too loud.

The industry standard for interior noise is btwn 65 dBA and 72 dBA at maximum operating speeds.

It spikes above 90 dBA when there’s a station announced over the speakers.

Has anyone heard anything from Pierre Poilievre since the absolute beating his party’s candidates took last night?
Even PMMC thanked all the candidates. Consecutive commentator on #CBC even thanked them.
Do we need to do a wellness check.

Why hasn’t Pierre Poilievre not walked up to a microphone and announce his resignation tonight?
He’s a disaster for his party. His party has cratered even more, and that is not good for Canadian democracy.
We need a functioning opposition to provide guidance and meaningful debate in the House. 1/2

Looks like PM Mark Carney has been given an even clearer mandate.
Fight!

If you’re going to interview the US Trade Representative on the national TV news network, as Rosie Barton did today, you’d better get ready to fact check that representative in real time. Instead she asked him to lie and The CBC gave this guy a platform to expand on the Tr**p chaos and lies.

Canada's largest ice cream company used to source its fruits and nuts from U.S. suppliers — some for over 30 YEARS. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.

So, what did Chapman's do?

They called Italy.
They called Spain.

They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.

If you're a small Canadian business and sell things impacted by the American tariffs, record a 10-sec video showing what you sell, and upload to mainstreet.todmaffin.com, and I'll likely share it to my 1.7M followers

As her God receives her, Dolly is truly singing with the angels there today.
A supreme talent, a generous philanthropist and a mentor to many, her many gifts will be sadly missed by all.
Let’s hope that Dolly’s legacy of humanity, kindness & love still has a place in the hearts of the people there.

Maine beaches, businesses & resorts suffered tremendously due to Canadian’s boycottng vacations in the States. As Canada considers how to respond to another attack on our sovereignty and your ability to earn a living, maybe ask this couch fucker to chill. Any Mainers laughing at this are just dumb.
Peter Thiel's side project, US Vice President JD Vance jokes about Canada being state, goes on a rant that Canada "would get invaded" if it wasn't for the US, the only country that has ever attempted to invade Canada and continues to threaten to invade. #cdnpoli

China, Japan and the UK have been unloading their US T bills.
Canada holds $459.6 billion USD, the fifth-largest foreign holder of US government debt. The top 3 have been selling off US T bills since spring of this year to shore up their own economy against Tr**p tariff attacks and general chaos.

The countdown to when an ICE agent is found to have used his torture glove to jerk off, thus requiring needed medical attention, has begun.
These gloves don't cause neuromuscular incapacitation the way that a taser does. In fact, they only work when applied directly to bare skin.

These aren't made for apprehending anyone. These have one and only one use: causing extreme pain to already-restrained captives.

In plain language: torture.
Zero surprise that these are explicitly designed to cause pain without leaving a mark, not to incapacitate.

Yes, we're spending $20M to buy ICE agents torture devices.
