IMO, the solution should not be to browbeat people into an old standard, but rather allow people to wear whatever they want. If someone can wear ducky pajamas in public, you can wear tailoring in any cut, color, and material. As options open up, dress can then be a source of pleasure.

Until 1974, no states recognized marital rape as a crime. It wasn’t until 1993 that it was considered a crime nationwide. You won’t be surprised to hear it is treated very differently than others forms of sexual assault, still, and this is an ongoing fight.
