I am logging out of BlueSky as of today, August 12, 2026. My account will remain parked and inactive. I am fine, but I see few positive effects and many negative ones from being active on so many platforms. If you wish to contact me, please do so via my website: dpsnyder.us. Take care.

For me, calls for submission always provoke a tension between my feelings for my biological literary babies and my adopted translation babies. Do other translators feel this way? #translation #literature #literarytranslation

See you on the streets tomorrow, America. We are the last line of defense between this crew of fascists and the dismantling of our nation. DO NOT FAIL YOUR COUNTRY NOW!

There is no collective word for a group of #feminists, so I propose a Fury of Feminists. To dismantle the oppressive pillar of #patriarchy, it will require a massive surge of anger expressed with pinpoint accuracy, targeting our rage where it can have the most effect—the Jasmine Crockett approach.

Thank you, @awpwriter.bsky.social, for pairing me with the marvelous @mlensheffer.bsky.social as my mentor in the AWP Writer-to-Writer mentorship program. Let's get that collection published and that novel back on track! All the best things happen when we collaborate. I'm inspired & deeply touched.

I received a little positive literary news just when my blood was starting to run blackstrap molasses. My angel always knows when I'm going under. #writing

The US regime deploys the military to take over the city of Washington. A gunman fires 180 bullets into the CDC. A MAGA-inspired gunman hunts Democrats. Freedom of expression is gone. Trump has created "military zones". Our military is being turned against us. We are in BIG trouble. #FascistMaga

Today, #Israel targeted and killed 5 journalists: correspondents Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, and camera operators Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, Moamen Aliwa. The U.S., the U.K., and Germany are as responsible as Israel for this assault against the press and international human rights. #Gaza
