People should stop reporting the veto as a meaningful thing. You can't veto the absence of an action, which is essentially what this is. The city council has no obligation to override his veto. Mayor Frey still needs a majority of council members to confirm an appointment.

We have a inter-agency team working to estimate the rental assistance need across the state due to metro surge, but I'm curious from a qualitative perspectice how folks are dealing with this. Are landlords threatening eviction action (either formal or informal)? Are some even willing to negotiate?
