He's starting to get up there in "everyone must wear their underwear on the outsid" territory.
Nothing voters care more about than AI terminology. Trump is truly dialed in.

One problem with this is that there's no doubt a not insignificant part of the public who will find a public execution to be great entertainment. Videos will go viral, the MAGA crowd will push for more of these, and eventually, they will turn into a TV reality show.
right. this isn’t a somber public execution to show people what it means for the state to murder someone. this is a celebration of violence for its own sake. the fact that the nidal hasan is helpless and infirm is no doubt part of the appeal. bsky.app/profile/spir...
struck by the extent to which he clearly conceptualizes this proposed streamed execution as essentially an act of public masturbation.

Aside from the gross corruption of this, what really strikes me is that she had run up $100k of unpaid credit card charges to American Express. And she was about to take a job that paid just under $200k/year.
“‘Eric, I really wish you would stop papering all these things,’ Guilfoyle responded. ‘It’s really dangerous and not helpful to you or me while you could simply just call me on signal.’

…A U.S. ambassador lecturing her briber on bribing best practices.”

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s corruption is shocking, damning, and—by now—chump change.

But calling for an investigation is committing himself to a position. His problem is he thinks there's a good chance that Trump will instead call it fake news & there won't be any investigation. Then Vance will be caught out in contradiction with Trump once again.
It’s amazing how they can’t bring themselves to say something serious but noncommittal like, “I’ve seen these reports and it’s concerning. We will investigate it and find out the truth.”
Q: Do you have any reaction to a US ambassador asking someone to pay off debt in exchange for access to other government officials?

VANCE: Well, so -- with that hypothetical, obviously I don't love that, but I, you know, I don't know exactly who you're talking about, I don't know the full details

Voters elect officials to establish boards of education to hire professional education administrators & qualified teachers. Parents don't know what to teach or how to teach .
Being uneducated and ignorant never kept Tommy Tuberville from getting elected in Alabama. Although he did earn a Physical Education degree at Southern Arkansas University.

She might want to take some of that $5k (if it's ever paid) and use it to buy a book that explains what socialism is.
"I don't want the government giving things to me, see"

"Litle things": This is a mark of desperation, from party leaders who know they can't defend the abysmal record of this Administration. What's their plan to reduce prices, to end the Iran war? They never talk about that because they have no plans, no policies.
“This is not the time to sort of gripe about all the little things,” said Vice President JD Vance on Thursday about the coming mid-term election season, despite the fact that a recent AP-NORC Center poll from late September found 73% of Americans think the country is on the wrong track.

Hillary Clinton did not hold government office while Trump was President, so in fact he couldn't have tried to impeach her.
Trump on getting impeached: "I'm getting good at it ... I could've done that with Hillary Clinton, as you know, I had the chance to do it if I wanted, and I said that would be inappropriate"

Guessing that people are staying in their jobs because they're afraid of giving up employer health insurance.
Trump Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling: "We're seeing people staying in their jobs longer now ... we're seeing people very happy where they are in their jobs because employers are doing better."

The argument is misplaced. Educated, urban affluent voters generally don't need institutional day care; they have nannies. But lots of young voters--both urban & non-urban--are two income families out of necessity, and free day care would be important.
there's a thing in moderate democratic politics where it is considered fundamentally illegitimate to deliver results to your own voters; instead, you must propose a better way to implement your adversaries' entire ideological program
"Making day care free, while offering nothing to stay-at-home parents, appeals to the educated, urban, affluent voters who have come to make up the Democratic base, but not to the electorate at large," Marc Novicoff argues:

That strikes me as desparate--does Ellison need an investor that badly? Musk as a significant equity owner--and he'll want a seat on the board--will alienate a lot of creatives in film and TV.
Welp.

According to Semafor, David Ellison has discussed bringing Elon Musk on as an investor in Paramount's merger with Warner Bros., which could mean Musk could have a stake in CBS News and CNN.

A cash injection from SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk could reduce investor Larry Ellison’s financial burden and bolster the deal’s investor base.

Worth noting that he pullout out of the agreement against the advice of Secretaries of State and Defense and his National Security Advisor.
FOX: We’re active with Iran—how do you get out?

El-Sayed: You don’t get in in the first place. We had an agreement that had contained nuclear weapons. We did not need to do this, so the first time the dunce got elected he pulled back on the agreement.

The Administration which constantly lies calls media which tell the truth "far-left propaganda".
I can’t wait to see Hannity & all the others on the right lose their shit when the next Democratic president bans Fox News, Newsmax, etc from the White House and says, “If you are going to engage in what’s effectively far-right propaganda, why would a Democratic White House give you special access?”

This is how many Republicans criticize Trump. They are afraid to criticize him directly, so they blame his advisers. But ultimately, Trump is responsible.

This doesn's seem like a statement designed to win votes of Minnesota residents.
Michele Tafoya again claims that Minnesotans are embarrassed of their state

But Trump has a tendency to overstate the terms of the deals he supposedly makes. We should be skeptical of his description and, perhaps, wait to see the agreement or get input from Denmark.
Trump boasts of giving the US "permanent control over security" in Greeland. But the US military already enjoys sweeping access to the territory under a treaty that dates to the 1950s. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

The did write that it was a "spectacle of transparency". And yes he constantly lies, but the lack of impulse control and absence of any screening ability means that he often reveals what he shouldn't. See how often he's referenced in plaintiffs' briefs in lawsuits against the Administratin.
This (from Regime Change) is not something a sane journalist should say about Donald Trump. First, because it's obviously not transparency, it's about ritual humiliation. Second, bc anyone sane knows virtually everything he shows is a lie (which should be noted here).

Scott's statement is so incredibly stupid that I suspect it's just an excuse to not regulate. Congress and the WH are capable of hiring experts to help them fashion legislation that will provide intelligent regulation. Self-regulation means no regulation.
“we, as a government, are dumb”
Rick Scott: "With regard to destroying mankind, these companies need to do the right thing on their own. We're not going to get smart enough to regulate them. We're not going to get something done up here."
September 17, 2026 at 8:02 PM
But this is just a part of the TV media's obsession with the political horse races at the expense of coverage of actual substantive issues.
No Brit Hume, inflation is “just killing” the American people. That’s what matters, right Brit?

What is an "election crisis coordinator"? What does Patel consider to be an "election crisis"? Why is the FBI doing anything like this?
👀 This ought to be much bigger news ... The FBI has “election crisis coordinators” standing by for the midterms, with plans to deploy them to polling places. That is deeply concerning and “not good” doesn’t begin to capture it. #Midterms #VoterSupression #ElectionInterfrence #LegalBasis
🚨 Patel admits agents will be deployed to polling places 👇

WELCH: I thought you weren't going to be sending people to the polls?

PATEL: Nope

W: So you are sending FBI agents?

P: We have election crisis coordinators manned at all 56 field offices. Election integrity is of paramount importance

It's amusing that the DOJ argues that the listing requirements of the USPS rules are analogous to the tracking rules for cremated remains.
UPDATE: DOJ decided to play fast and loose this morning. Without even filing a notice of appeal in the DSCC case, SG Sauer made arguments to SCOTUS about the merits of the DSCC case injunction in a "supplemental brief" in the stay application pending in the California/LWV cases out of Mass.

Weird, really? He doesn't understand that, for example, large consumer goods companies want regulation so that consumers will have confidence in the marketplace and rogue, unethical competitors can't undercut them with unsafe products. Regulation is good for industries.
JD Vance: "I have to say, just personally, I feel a little bit weird about the fact that you have so many frontier AI tech companies kind of coming to the government and begging the government to regulate them. It feels a little bit to me like a bit of a trojan horse."
September 14, 2026 at 2:24 PM
Nevertheless, impeachment proceedings can lay out the various illegal and unethical things done by Trump and cabinet members. In my opinion, that's usefull.
Even if Democrats take both houses, it is nearly impossible, for example, to assemble supermajorities to impeach and remove rogue Cabinet officials.
