It’s been a year since I got a crack at the conceptual minefield that’s the gendered intersection of reproductive/trans rights; I’m finally allowed to make freely available the published PDF!! So already humbled by its reception in WGSS, philosophy, law, & political theory philpapers.org/rec/PPAFRV

Can we still make sense of reproductive rights & pregnancy discrimination as a gender equality issue if we need to (1) affirm that people of all genders may and do become pregnant and (2) not alienate the many cis and trans women who do not? I argue that yes ofc!! Come find out how (link below)! 1/6

Check out the latest edition of the APA Studies on LGBTQ Philosophy! I feel fortunate to have edited such a compelling series of short pieces on the philosophy of resistance and solidarity from queer perspectives. And I swear all of them are fun reads. 🤓🏳️‍🌈 1/n

Now out for all listeners! Helen and Sarah sit down with @amymarvin.bsky.social, a philosopher who specializes in feminist philosophy and trans theory. We discuss the relationship between chasers, transphobia, and ruinous obsession, and ask how that intersects with stand-up comedy.

the idea that this one specific very active group of people is an imbalance to be straightened out, rather than the very reason the platform is what it is, is the mistake that bluesky will come to regret
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

Let’s be honest.

If Philosophy hasn’t been ‘liquidated’, Sociology will not be.

For all the criticisms, at least Sociologists collect data.

Meanwhile the Philosophy people just make things up out of thin air. Just whatever they want. Doesn’t matter.
