I have respected Macklemore's character for awhile already, and now have a lot of respect for the other artists who stood with him. I had the privilege of seeing Aaron Rowe open for Dermot Kennedy just a few days ago in Boston.

I've seen Ed Sheeran in concert before, and thought he was excellent, though I didn't have tickets to his show next week. I like a lot of his music. I like a bunch of Macklemore's music, particularly Hind's Hall. I am extremely disappointed and surprised by Ed Sheeran's character reveal this week.

It's a heck of a lot more meaningful for fans to give up their tickets in protest than creating a snarky meme. Kinda sounds like Ed Sheeran fans are actually pretty rad, at the impact they had this week. Alienating a group of people supporting the same cause is not the flex you think it is.

We still have another cat, which has been extremely helpful in supporting our grief, but she is no substitute either, and will have a different relationship when we get another kitty. It's so so so hard. I'm so sorry for your canyon deep loss. 💔

I think people, in general, have good intentions to support someone they care about in grief, but it's easy to forget we all grieve our losses differently. I lost one of my cats in June, and though I know I'll find another one, it won't be soon and won't be to replace my sweet girl.
