Whenever I see a poll like this I always like to remind people that approval for interracial marriage in the US did not cross the 50% mark until 1994, when I was already in my twenties.
Pew Research Center poll on “transgender athletes competing on sports teams that don’t match their birth sex”:
• 27% of American adults are somewhat/very/extremely comfortable with it
• 73% are not comfortable with it
Democrats are also NOT comfortable with it: 55-44% margin.

If your state is controlled by Democrats, there is no reason that they shouldn't pass legislation allowing direct-to-consumer vehicle sales to put a significant source of Republican donations out of business for good.
Having bought two EVs and a hybrid, I think a big part of America’s sloth in adopt adopting EVs is car dealerships’ management being heavily Republican, and having a business model that relies on repairs that EV‘s don’t need.
