It's almost springtime, and I'm planning some great events in communities across the district. Please save the dates and meet me outdoors this season. There are also many opportunities for volunteers to gain experience and build connections to my team and the MWRD - we'd love to have you join us!
Happy Friday! If you're in the Oak Park area tomorrow morning, stop by the farmers market and say hello to my team.

We'll be outside with our resource table to connect you to some fantastic resources, like the Green Neighbor Guide and free milkweed seeds for your yard.

I am still reflecting on my recent visit to the Obama Presidential Library. It was such a privilege to see the exhibitions & watch history unfold from floor to floor. I hope you have a chance to visit & take in the magnitude of progress made. As a fellow public servant, the experience was inspiring.

I am always reminding people that milkweed is not an undesirable weed, but an important part of green infrastructure - and the best home for monarchs. 🦋

🌿 I planted these a couple of years ago; they have multiplied & become stronger at the root.🐛
