I am still reflecting on my recent visit to the Obama Presidential Library. It was such a privilege to see the exhibitions & watch history unfold from floor to floor. I hope you have a chance to visit & take in the magnitude of progress made. As a fellow public servant, the experience was inspiring.

Yesterday, MWRD celebrated AAPI Heritage Month with a luncheon, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together," with Don Villar, Secretary-Treasurer of Chicago Federation of Labor. Thank you to the team that put this together, and to Mr. Villar for his advocacy.
Recognizing this week is Mental Health Awareness Week and connecting with nature can help improve our salud mental. It's more important than ever to bring ourselves outdoors...or as the kids say, "to touch grass." How will you unplug today?
