I am still reflecting on my recent visit to the Obama Presidential Library. It was such a privilege to see the exhibitions & watch history unfold from floor to floor. I hope you have a chance to visit & take in the magnitude of progress made. As a fellow public servant, the experience was inspiring.

Yesterday, MWRD celebrated AAPI Heritage Month with a luncheon, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together," with Don Villar, Secretary-Treasurer of Chicago Federation of Labor. Thank you to the team that put this together, and to Mr. Villar for his advocacy.

I was proud to speak at my alma mater, DePaul, this past weekend during the First Gen Admitted Students Day.
This event was part of a university initiative providing support, guidance & resources to first-gen students as they prepare their journey of college life in the upcoming academic year.
