A spokesperson for the board said it redacted accounts that weren’t “evidence-based” and had not tried to “hide or trivialise the scale of any crisis”.

Great to have in-depth coverage of the increased use of immigration detention in IE and to talk to @shamimmalekmian.bsky.social about some of the issues faced by people detained for immigration issues.
Despite overcrowding, prison officials are told to exclude immigration detainees from temporary release. The Irish Prison Service had asked the government to revisit the policy, given more serious high-risk offenders had to be released early to make the space. www.dublininquirer.c...
