Mayor Mamdami reached peak popula……wow.
53 years ago, hip-hop was born at a back-to-school party in the Bronx. Now, the Bronx School of Hip Hop is preparing a new generation of artists to shape what comes next.

I sat down with Nas to talk about the past, present, and future of hip-hop in NYC — from the turntables to our classrooms.

Despite hosting the World Cup, travel to the U.S. was DOWN this summer.

We're on pace for overseas visitors to drop by 2 million from last year — down 20% from our '19 peak

What's fun about this whole contretemps and why it's worth watching again is how smirky Schmitt starts out - this is going to be his big moment – and how honest a puzzled Smith comes off, and how sharp Klobuchar was to quickly figure out the basic mistake. And then how pissy Schmitt gets at her.
🤡 Schmitt beclowns himself 🤡

Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atl for a Hawks game and to collude with Fani Willis, & flashed his "evidence" before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- his facts were totally wrong.

Here's the whole sequence:

Been to a Republican town hall lately? No! Cuz they’ve largely stopped holding them to avoid getting caught on video lying to people’s faces.

If your US representative won’t show their face to you, they doesn’t deserve your vote!

Glad about the result, but I don’t think it speaks well of us as a country that after two years of human rights violations, war crimes, naked gangster corruption, and contempt for the Constitution, he’s finally unpopular because gas got expensive.
Remarkable: An Iowa right wing radio host just leaked word that GOP polling shows House Rs in peril even in districts Trump won by +10. The culript? Trump and the war.

On the pod, Iowa Dem chair Rita Hart explains why the conditions are ripe for big Dem rural gains:

"they're coming for birth control" is not alarmism, that is absolutely next on the agenda

I have my doubts on how successful it'll be but they're going to make a real go of it
MURRAY: The Trump admin falsely labeled birth control as abortion. Do you agree that an IUD is an abortifacient?

OVERTON: If confirmed, I'll be fully briefed

M: That's not an answer. The prospect of an FDA commissioner who doesn't know that birth control isn't an abortion is deeply alarming

This is an absolute disaster from a national security perspective.

Obviously, a lot on F-35s is classified, but a weapons-bay door and a canopy with radar-absorbing material are some of the most sensitive.

Hard to describe how bad this is.

I’m not relying on any polls. There is only one thing to do to take the first step to stop this nightmare, and that is to go out and vote in numbers too big to rig.
Marist now has a Texas poll (after their Iowa poll last night).

It has Talarico leading Paxton 50/44.

And Hinojosa leading Abbott 49/46. (All among registered voters.) maristpoll.marist.edu/polls/2026-m...
