Letterboxd is a great website because you can read about how it was “irresponsible“ for a writer-director to make the movie he wanted to make instead of the movie the user wanted to see.

Video games the only genre where people seriously advocate for remaking influential titans of the medium. No one goes "Oh they need to remake The Godfather and Seven Samurai and Jaws!" But with video games everyone's like "Oh yeah, Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece. They should Fix it."

Even if your AI somehow runs locally and you think it's okay, it's still using trained data from a pre-existing dataset which is still full of stolen work.
The sheer amount of data gen AI needs is in the hundreds of thousands, you can only get that by scraping

The gen AIs that most are familiar with were built using stolen creative work, but there are plenty of more niche gen AIs that do not use stolen work.

Sorry to be a "gaming purist" or whatever but I think it's genuinely a good thing to play the originals first. Sorry I think videogames are an art form and they also exist within certain historical contexts just like any book or movie or whatever. Yes even modern ones.

I don't think I'll ever understand the rabbid cultish devotion to GTA. Or frankly, most of Rockstar's lutput. The games just feel so dry and repetitive. Decent writing, and certainly very detailed, but the settings and gameplay just don't scream "endless hype" to me. Just always bewildered me
