To wildly over simplify things: If someone made $1 million a year and was taxed 50%, they would still make around $1,300 a DAY! Not weekdays. EVERY day. I don't know a single person who wouldn't find that completely life changing. And by today's standards of rich, $1 mil is nothing.
"According to the…annual Harris Poll, for the 1st time, a majority of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to democracy. A remarkable 71% believe there should be a wealth tax. A majority believe there should be a cap on how much wealth a person can accumulate." www.nytimes.com/2025/12/14/o...

Just exhausting shit. Yeah, his take on data centers are bad, but Tiffany's are genuinely worse.

I legit just got done watching a YouTube video that ended and went right into an AI commercial where I took the time to flip it off before grabbing my remote to back out to the menu.
Everyone watches pro-AI commercials and immediately gives their TV screen the middle finger until the commercial is over, right? Cool just making sure.

It's exhausting how many Republican political adds are "look at how the Dems are screwing up" on issues that they audibly plan to screw up more.

Made by a friend of mine that is very off socials (and bless him for it).

It's so crazy how companies used to generate their income by putting out a product rather than buying other companies to cannibalize as quickly as possible for every single penny.

I am a big dummy, and therefore I should not be smarter than government officials. Fucking exhausting shit.

Now watching Bloodmoon (1997). More like finally given how long I've been hearing @williambibbiani.bsky.social talking it up.

Adding to the conversations about media literacy being dead: Wrestling fans don't seem to know how to boo heels anymore. Dom Mysterio being the exception. It's depressing.

HHS just run buy dudes who hear "it happens to everyone" a lot, and internalized it.

Paraphrasing a friend: Media covering Mamdani like the Daily Bugle covers Spider-Man.
"Mr. Mamdani is a master of new media... But as mayor, he has also been able to use taxpayer funds to create a sprawling network of hundreds of friendly influencers to boost his priorities, provide positive depictions of his administration and enhance his popularity."
Inside Mamdani’s Private Army of Public Influencers (Gift Article)
Zohran Mamdani is seen as a social media wizard. Some of his popularity stems from an influencer operation run by the mayor’s office.

Happy birthday to The King! FF #39 is my second all time favorite comic book. I can (and have) ramble about it for hours. I fell in love with it before I could read.

I'd put money on them thinking it's like a video game and their inventory will replenish after a day.

If aliens showed up and willingly had a conversation with the US, at least it would be a tell tale sign that they're evil. No

Ah, yes, Terminator. Where mankind purposely programed the AI to destroy everything, also it wasn't a metaphor or anything.
BARTIROMO: It feels like we're moving into a Terminator-type world

HASSETT: I hope not and I think not. AI companies definitely have an incentive not to destroy the world. That would destroy their companies too.

In what fucking world would a data center incentivise a rich person to move near one? Even if data centers created jobs and weren't an all around blight, they're just buildings full of computers. Dumbest fucking people.
Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Even I remember that every alternative COVID treatment pushed by grifters was easily found to have been invested in financially by those same grifters right before they started pushing them.

The only way any of these dorks yelling about making a "historically accurate" Odyssey will be taken seriously is if their movie mentions Helen being born out of an egg laid by her human mom after she fucked a swan.

A thing about The Last Starfighter I haven't seen talked about, is that Centauri used his video game recruitment scam all over the galaxy. Which means in that world there's multiple planets with sick ass video games!
