FishSounds is an international, collaborative effort to catalog underwater sounds, centered on the website FishSounds.net. Support our work at extrweb.uvic.ca/donate/fishsounds!
We are incredibly grateful to @wildlabs.bsky.social, @diioriolucia1.bsky.social, NSERC, and many others for supporting and funding our work. We hope to continue improving in the years to come!

The admin portal will also allow us to regularly import FishBase data and export our data. Our long-term data repository on Borealis will soon be reorganized and updated to better reflect the website.

We are especially excited with our new admin portal, which will allow us to update the website continuously! From now on, FishSounds datasets may be updated at any point, so please take care to note the website version and access date to properly cite your data.

We made a few more minor changes around the website, as well, such as updating the FishSounds Fisheries project page to include an acoustic catalog of Canadian fished species.

We have also started adding information from references published in the years 2024 and 2025, with 2026 to soon follow! The systematized review of these new publications may not be completed for another month or so, so please understand that some may be missing for now.
