AND another promise! It's now a long list (with a little more than 2 weeks to go) and surely his 2.5% tax cap has been abandoned if he intends to follow through on the others! Phew! Don't think he is finished yet, either. #ottcity

It’s hard enough for cities in Canada to do smarter things given how often bad city leaders hurt their own cities. But it’s extra infuriating watching awful provincial premiers sabotaging cities by ripping out good things they FINALLY managed to achieve.

Premiers should not have that power, period.
"Ripping out these protected bike lanes against the will of Toronto city council is a colossal waste of $48 million. The province’s own experts know it will not ease traffic congestion, it will put people’s lives at risk…”

One of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen any politician do to any city.
Ontario will officially begin removing Toronto bike lanes on Tuesday | CBC News

3:15pm truck already parked in bike lane

3:38pm driver adjusts its parking so as not to encroach on the car lane

4:14pm truck still parked in the bike lane

I’m out of here.

No. That’s not a pickup truck parked in the bike lane against traffic (on a one-way street). Nobody would ever do that.

Have you noticed how the four main mayoral candidates haven’t said beep about cycling as a mode of transportation?
Ask them to answer our questions. Ask your own. You deserve to know.

Disparaging on social media local organizations that are solely volunteer based and doing the best they can is not kosher. In fact, it can discourage people from volunteering.

I’m sick and tired of this.

Humongous SUV, no passenger. That’s what our tax go to: accommodating huge, heavy vehicles that will damage our roads, increase congestion due to their sheer size and pose great danger to anyone outside of a motorized vehicle.
